Popular comic book heroes and villains were greeted by crowds of eager fans as they led a procession of three Batmobile replicas into Stepney Square in an event organised by Ymlaen Llanelli.
Kids and adults alike braved the rain to grab super selfies with their favourite characters, including Batman, the Joker, Iron Man, Harley Quinn and more from Marvel and DC universes.
The crowd was also wowed by the Batmobile lineup, with replicas from the 1966, 1989 and 2008 Batman films taking centre stage after a roaring entrance down Stepney Street.
A replica of Gotham City made by local artist Christine Clarke was also on display; the miniature set was made completely from scratch using recycled materials and even features the Batcave.
Lesley Richards, chair of Ymlaen Llanelli, was thrilled with the turnout: “Despite the grey skies all the children loved it – and so did all the adults, myself included! This was by far the best superhero day we’ve had and we already can’t wait to host next year’s.”
