The people of Llanelli were transported back to prehistoric times yesterday as Llanelli Dinosaur Eggstravaganza put on a show in the town centre!
The event saw dinosaurs such as Ronnie the T.rex and Nancy the raptor wowing crowds of people in Stepney Square, headed up by Dinomania UK. Some lucky children got the chance to meet the dinos up close inside their pen, bravely posing for photos with their heads in the T.rex’s mouth and even giving Freddie the Therizinosaurus a proper cwtch.
Chair of Ymlaen Llanelli, Lesley Richards, was pleased with the turnout: “There were so many smiling faces at the event, it was lovely to see everyone enjoying and we can’t thank Dinomania enough for their fab work. We can’t quite believe how lucky we were with the weather – a forecast of rain turned into sunshine just in the nick of time and really made it a perfect day.”
