It works like this: collect a sticker for your loyalty card when you spend a minimum of £10 at a participating business. When five stickers have been collected from five different businesses, the card can be exchanged at Llanelli Library for a £20 gift voucher to spend at any of the participating businesses!
Ymlaen Llanelli Chair, Lesley Richards, said the initiative is an exciting step forward for the town: “We’ve had this idea on the back burner for some time, so it’s great to finally get the ball rolling. With non-essential retail and indoor hospitality now reopen, we thought it was the perfect time to introduce a loyalty card as a thank you from us to our loyal customers. We are forever grateful for their continued support.”
The gift vouchers will be eligible for redemption in one transaction before 1st September, and if successful, the month-long trial will be the beginning of what’s hoped to become a regular feature in the town centre, with the scheme planned to make a return at key shopping periods throughout the year.
BID manger, Mandy Jenkins, is pleased with the response so far: “Businesses have been thrilled at the prospect of a loyalty scheme and we can’t wait for it to start. While we’ve been unable to hold our events programme, we’ve been busy finding all different ways to support businesses through the pandemic and so we hope this initiative will be a transitional one, giving customers an incentive to shop local and support our town centre as things get back on track.”
So, when you’re out enjoying the reopened town centre, be sure to look out for our Love Llanelli Loyalty Card scheme poster in businesses' windows or at the counter – pick up a card with your purchase, and start collecting your stickers!
